To be held at Leominster Priory, Herefordshire.
Speakers include
Dr Ian Mortimer  who will speak on the early Mortimers
Dr Emma Cavell's subject is "Mortimer women of the 12th 13th centuries"
Dr Andrew Spencer will speak on Roger Mortimer (d.1282) while Dr Paul Dryburgh will talk about his grandson, Roger Mortimer, 1st Earl of March who was executed in 1330.
Best-selling author Kathryn Warner's subject will be "Edward II, Hugh Despenser and Roger Mortimer".

Wigmore Castle
Hosted by our patrons, John & Carol Challis, this is a rare opportunity for members to see something of what is left of this Augustinian abbey founded in 1179 by Hugh Mortimer. It was the burial place of many of the early Mortimers of Wigmore.
Entry will be by timed pre-booked ticket and tea and cakes are included. More details later.
