Ribbesford church sits above the B4194 about a mile south of Bewdley.
(grid reference SO 786740 - postcode DY12 2TQ)

Ribbesford was an early possession of the Mortimers of Wigmore. The church was soon in the possession of the Ribbesford family who were stewards to Roger Mortimer (d1214) and his successors.

The church today stands above the flood plain of the River Stour and consists of a squat building, built from the local Old Red Sandstone, on sloping ground. It contains what looks like a large coffin lid carved with the Mortimer arms.
